As Scotland’s leading dementia charity, Alzheimer Scotland is committed to making sure nobody faces dementia alone: from before diagnosis through to end of life with dementia. They rely on the generosity of supporters to provide vital support for people with dementia, their families, and carers across Scotland, and we want to play our part.
In an effort to raise vital funds for our charity of the year, a team from our Forfar office walked Jock’s Road, travelling North to South from Braemar to Glen Clova, on Saturday 16 September which was also Scotland’s Memory Walk weekend 2023.
We want to say a massive well done to Samantha Turkington, Anna Coff, Barbara Shaw, Chelsea Anton, Graeme Davidson, Jessica Sim, Karri Milne, Kelly Meiklejohn, Lynsey Robertson, Sarah Millar, Scott Kennedy, and Katie Edward who spent their free time walking over the Grampians. You can see some of their photos below.
We would also like to thank those who have donated and supported our fantastic participants, so far we have raised £2,118 (excluding Gift Aid) which is an amazing amount!
If you haven’t donated but would like to, you can visit the fundraising page and add to the total here.
Alzheimer Scotland provides services and support across Scotland to help anyone who is worried about their memory, has a diagnosis of dementia, or who is supporting someone with dementia. For information and advice, visit the Alzheimer Scotland support page here.
